I recently rewatched all the Harry Potter films with my children over the infamous ‘winter storm’ that hit the South hard this past month. In it I noticed a scene filled with the young wizards & their own spirit animals. It had me thinking; how interesting life would be if our spirit animals, the traits that each of us hold with-in ourselves, were out to where people could view them. That would allot a very unique way of conducting ourselves with one and other in business practices or otherwise.
I imagine myself walking into a building & my spirit animal either walking beside me or gliding in the air near me. Immediately one would get a sense of who I am internally with no falsehoods surface level. It would make life easier in general because you would know exactly how to handle the individual that is set before you. Are they shy? Are they cunning? Protective?
So I did a bit of googling on my end & came up across a few sites that went into detail about spirit animals. I thought it would be a fun post to see which you identify with personally. Name an animal & you can find its meaning. So my list is a very limited version.
The Spirit Animal website below has a lot of information on each animal. They even have a fun quiz you can take.
Goop did a really good article on Spirit Animals, check it out for additional information.

There are a variety of cultures through out the world & through out history that believe we can associate ourselves with a specific creature. From Asian to Native American there are so many ways that animals have been embedded into our cultures.
It would make my world of recruiting easier to navigate if spirit animals were accessible. Perhaps it would be as simple as asking a client, “what kind of spirit animal are you seeking for this role?” In which they reply a Hawk or a Tiger! Game changing, right?
I personally believe that I identify the most with the squirrel, spider & the alligator.
